Know what we collect
Your memories live on your device, and we collect almost nothing. The full picture of what we hold, and what we never touch, is in our Privacy Policy, written in plain language.
Control permissions
Before You Forget asks for access to your photos and microphone only to do what you ask, like attaching a photo or recording a voice note. You can change or revoke any permission, and notifications, at any time in iOS Settings → Apps → Before You Forget.
Control backup
Optional iCloud backup syncs your memories to your own iCloud account through Apple’s private CloudKit database, never to servers of ours. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time in the app’s settings.
Take your memories with you
You can export your entire archive from the app’s settings whenever you like. There is no lock-in, ever.
See, correct, or delete your information
The little we hold outside your device is the email address on your account. You can ask us to show you, correct, or erase. Email privacy@beforeyouforget.ai. To remove everything, see Delete your account.
Withdraw consent
Turning off backup, revoking a permission, unsubscribing from our emails (every one has an unsubscribe link), or deleting your account. Each one takes effect immediately, no questions asked.
Ask a person
Anything unclear, or a request these pages don’t cover: privacy@beforeyouforget.ai. A person reads every message.
